Lizz Picini (she/her) moved to New York City just one week after graduating from Towson University with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance. After completing the Broadway Dance Center Professional Semester she began actively training and working at Broadway Dance Center while assisting various choreographers. She now has the privilege of teaching at Broadway Dance Center while successfully "wearing many hats" in this business operating on "all sides of the table," as a performer, educator, and creative!
Lizz is represented by CESD Talent Agency and is a proud member of the Actors’ Equity Association. Most recently, Lizz served as Tony-nominee Denis Jones' Associate Choreographer, Assistant Director, and Dance Captain, while playing Hunyak and covering Roxie Hart, in his production of Chicago! Her other favorite roles include Cassie in A Chorus Line, the Girl-in- the-Green-Dress in Singin’ in the Rain next to Corbin Bleu for the MUNY’s 100th Season, Virtue at Arena Stage’s Anything Goes, Tess in Crazy For You, Gertie Cummings in Oklahoma!, Dawn in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and Ruth in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Lizz was also featured in Disney’s world premiere musical When You Wish, Beauty and the Beast, Sister Act, On The Town, West Side Story, and more.
On the creative side, Lizz served as Associate Choreographer and Assistant Director for musicals such as Chicago, Guys and Dolls, Holiday Inn, Anything Goes, Singin’ in the Rain, and Oklahoma! Overall, she has had the privilege of working with, training from and assisting some of the industry’s best including Denis Jones, Richard J. Hinds, Parker Esse, Al Blackstone, James Kinney, Jeffry Denman, Josh Bergasse, Rommy Sandhu, Jim Cooney, Marc Kimelman, Michael Mindlin, Nick Kenkel, and more.
Lizz is incredibly passionate about this industry and welcomes any and every opportunity to pour into others and help educate. Through teaching, Lizz develops and enhances her students’ dance skills as she provides valuable insight, clear instruction and solid encouragement to those genuinely following their dreams. While her classes are not auditions, the material she covers in class will separate her students from others at their auditions. She is incredibly thankful to reside in brilliant New York City, living the dream!

While her classes are not auditions, the material she covers in class will separate her students from others at their auditions.
The Theater Absolute Beginner Workshop (ABW) provides students with a fun, safe, stress-free, educating environment where they will learn the fundamentals of theater movement. Through study of terminology, sequencing, choreography, and more, students will grow increasingly more comfortable with theater dance all together. Whether a parent of three, a vocal performer terrified of "mover" calls, or a an adult interested in getting a solid workout in on a Tuesday night, come check out this ABW!
