Richard J. Hinds (he/him) has worked on the Broadway productions of Company (Associate Chor.), Come From Away (Associate Chor.), Disney's Newsies (Associate Dir.), Jekyll & Hyde (Associate Dir./Chor.) and Il Divo: A Musical Affair (Assistant Dir.). Richard also worked on the West End productions of Elf (Associate Chor.) and Here Lies Love (Associate Dir./Chor,).
Richard's directing and choreography credits include The REV, Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival, 5 Star Theatricals, Ogunquit Playhouse, Gateway Playhouse, La Mirada, Pittsburgh CLO, Flat Rock Playhouse, Macau International Music Festival, Kansas City Repertory Theatre and New Theatre. His television credits include Encore! (Disney+), Bring It, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, America's Got Talent, Good Afternoon America (featuring Liza Minnelli), The Bethenny Show and national commercials for Macy’s. He has directed and choreographed events for BCEFA, Oath, Azamara Club Cruises, RWS & Associates, Hershey Park, General Motors, Sephora, SP Richards, Samsung and 54 Below.
Richard has been the Associate on 9 to 5(National/International Tours), Disney's High School Musical (National/International Tours), Up Here (La Jolla Playhouse), The Last Goodbye (The Old Globe), Pippin (CTG and Deaf West), A Wonderful Life (Paper Mill Playhouse), Rockers On Broadway (B.B. King’s), Broadway Under The Stars (NYC & Company) and the Drama Desk Awards (Hammerstein Ballroom).
Richard is a graduate of the Interlochen Arts Academy and is currently represented by United Talent Agency.

Richard’s class begins with a technique focused warm-up, concentrating on ballet, core, and proper placement while infusing style and musicality at the same time. After the warm up, there will be several across-the-floor combinations that with continue to focus on technical elements. Combinations vary but are all focused in the musical theatre style and concentrate on storytelling and acting.
