Yuka Ogawa is a Japanese dancer, choreographer, and dance educator from Fukushima, Japan. She began training in Hip-Hop and Jazz at the age of nine at Dance Factory K-Magnifique in her hometown. After moving to New York City, she continued her professional training through the International Student Visa Program at Broadway Dance Center, the Independent Training Program at Peridance Center, the Rock The Industry Training Program, created by choreographer and educator LUAM, and the Dana Foglia Dance Training Program.
During her time in the training program at Broadway Dance Center, Yuka further developed her skills as a class assistant to Michelle Barber and participated in numerous projects, including QsNewz video projects directed by Q Pittman, Derek Mitchell’s FlashMob project and charity show projects choreographed by Chio. She currently works as an assistant to Chio.
Her performance credits include Carrie Underwood’s See You Again music video, serving as a backup dancer for Korean singer YOYOMI, the International Emmy Kids Awards Ceremony, Peridance Center’s 34th Anniversary Gala, Carnival Choreographer’s Ball, and The Table of Silence Project 9/11. She has also performed with Japanese recording artist Kylee and has appeared in numerous live productions, showcases, and commercial events throughout New York.

A dynamic fusion of Jazz technique, Hip-Hop groove, and contemporary street style. This class focuses on musicality, texture, body control, and individuality, while encouraging dancers to move with confidence and intention.
Through choreography, dancers will explore different dynamics, rhythms, and styles while developing a strong foundation in movement quality and performance. The class is designed to challenge you while creating a fun and supportive environment where you can express your own personality.
At least 1-3 years of both Hip-Hop and Jazz training is recommended for this class. Please note: Appropriate footwear is required for this class.
