Taylor Gordon is an international dancer, creator, and educator based in NYC for 20+ years. She has danced across 50+ countries. Performance credits include: Metropolitan Opera Ballet (Lincoln Center), Radio City Christmas Spectacular (4 seasons), Angelina Ballerina (off-Broadway/tour), Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, NY City Center Encores! pre-production, Exit12 (Cuba & UK tours), Black Iris Project, Dublin Worldwide Productions, TUI Cruises. She was a Resident Director for Spirit Productions in Japan, Taiwan, and Canada, and a Show Supervisor for RWS Global, where she assisted more than 10 Broadway-caliber choreographers in creating and restaging shows for Holland America and Azamara Cruises. Taylor was selected for Dance Lab NY’s Broadway Choreography Intensive in 2025. She had choreography residencies in France, Peru, India, China, and Bali.
Taylor is a certified Pilates mat & apparatus instructor and Teacher Trainer through Pilates Academy International with 15+ years of experience teaching private and group classes for all ages and levels. She holds additional certifications from American Council on Exercise in Group Fitness, Functional Training, & Senior Fitness Specializations, as well as a 200-hour yoga certification. Taylor earned a BA in Communication Arts from Marymount Manhattan College and a master’s degree in Publishing from Pace University by age 20. In addition to workout videos on Amazon Prime, she’s worked with clients with challenges such as extreme weight loss, torn ACL, hip and knee replacements, chronic back pain, glaucoma, blindness, and MS, as well as with healthy weekend warriors, professional dancers, and athletes.

Taylor Gordon’s approach to Pilates applies the precision and accuracy of alignment to the joy of movement, so that all students meet their individual goals, pain-free. Taylor creates custom workouts for students of all ages and abilities, designing an exercise flow that targets full body strength and flexibility. Her mat class begins with extensive core work, firing up the body efficiently. The flow is carefully arranged to emphasize glute strength, hip stability, stamina, and back extension to cross-train dancers for healthy and long careers. This class is great for cross-training, pre-dance class warmup, recovering from or dealing with injuries, and weekend warriors. Through Taylor’s class, students improve functional movement, develop deep core strength, and refine their personal posture on and off the stage.
Taylor Gordon's ballet classes meet dancers where they're at, encouraging students to challenge their strength, precision, and musicality, while maintaining proper biomechanics for their bodies to dance pain-free. Her barre is efficient, preparing dancers for learning material quickly and warming up properly for center work. Combinations in the center focus on use of space, artistry, and pushing personal boundaries in a safe and supportive environment.
Taylor Gordon's jazz and musical theater classes blend classic technique with jazz musicality and theatrical storytelling. Warmup includes elements of Pilates and yoga to keep the body healthy and prepare for performance in a low-impact way. Across the floor work challenges direction changes and weight shifts in more advanced patterns. Choreography combinations are taught quickly and in heavy detail, with room for artistic interpretation and character choices within the framework.
