Nick Pauley started dancing when he was 10 years old in the Bay Area, where he learned fundamental Hip-Hop, House, Jazz, Waacking/Voguing, and Ballet technique. At the age of 15, he joined the professional hip hop company, “The Academy of Villains”, where he was disciplined to deliver the highest quality performance for both live events and filmed projects. With the “Villains”, he became a VIBE champion, worked on resident shows at Knotts Berry Farm and Studio City Macau, and performed on America’s Got Talent. At age 18, he was accepted to the World Arts and Cultures/Dance department at UCLA. During his undergraduate studies, he further developed his choreography and dance abilities under mentors Vic Marks, Susan Foster, Kyle Abraham, and more. While at UCLA, he delved into the commercial industry by training under and assisting choreographers like JoJo Gomez, Matt Cady, and Dana Alexa. Additionally, he gained insight about working in the entertainment business by holding positions at Warner Brothers Records, Warner/Chappell Licensing, and London Alley Entertainment.
As a professional dancer, Nick has worked with countless developing artists and high profile singers like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj. As a choreographer, he has created various pieces performed in a variety of spaces in Los Angeles. He has also choreographed for Pepsi Co., Alex Aiono, Larry June, and UCLA’s largest show “Spring Sing”, held in Pauley Pavilion, a 10,000 seat arena.
