Class Descriptions

Locking

This class focuses on the foundation of locking, one of the most animated and energetic styles of funk dancing. Students will be introduced to the basic movements and characters in locking as well as opportunities to make this dance their own. As is the case with all of Alan's classes, emphasis will be learning HOW to approach, execute and excel in the style. After the initial warm up, students will review foundational steps and variations, ultimately leading into the combination.
