Dance has always been a way of life for Dexter Da Rocha (he/they). Having grown up in studios watching both their mother and father teach, they gained a broad and well rounded perspective on what is important when learning, performing and educating. A well recognized dancer in the Denver competitive dance community, they were frequently lauded for their movement quality, musicality, dynamics and performance. These accolades afforded them the ability to move to Los Angeles to pursue their career.
Dexter has worked as an assistant choreographer for Cirque Du Soleil, as a choreographer for DanceOn, and as a movement coach/choreographer for Greyson Chance and Xinovia. They have appeared on television for the Billboard Music Awards with Janet Jackson, The Grammy's with Harry Styles, The Voice with Halsey, CW’s Crazy Ex Girlfriend, The L Word: Generation Q, etc. Other accomplishments include music videos with artists such as Pink, Ari Vega, and Kat Graham. They are passionate about continuing their journey within the industry to be able to provide the best possible education for their students.

Dexter’s contemporary fusion classes provide a safe space for dancers to explore new possibilities in their dancing and performance. They strive to bring the best out of their students by emphasizing uniqueness, being present and finding passion and intention behind every movement. They excel at helping each dancer showcase their strengths while providing guidance and different goals/focuses in each class. Their class consists of a warmup, movement exploration, and a contemporary fusion combination.
