He moved to New York City in 1992 and trained at the world-renowned Broadway Dance Center. It took him only two years to become one of Michael Jackson’s dancers for the 1995 MTV Music Awards. Over the next 20 years he danced and choreographed for Television, Live Stage, and Celebrity Artists like Whitney Houston, Pink, Alicia Keys, Usher, Liza Minnelli, Jason Derulo, Mary J, Mya, Ricky Martin, and ultimately choreographing his dream show—the Michael Jackson 30th Anniversary Special, a project that earned him an Emmy Nomination.
His passion for visual storytelling expanded into directing and filmmaking, leading to his first feature documentary film, Amy’s Victory Dance. The film won numerous awards and secured distribution on Amazon Prime, Delta Airlines, and many other streaming platforms today. He also spent over a decade working on Sesame Street, earning Emmy Recognition for his contributions to the series. Additionally, he worked on numerous episodes of The All-New Electric Company, further solidifying his reputation as a creative force in television.

Taught by Emmy-nominated choreographer and filmmaker Brian Thomas, this special 2.5-hour master class focuses on translating performance from the stage to the screen. Dancers will explore how to bring emotional truth, intention, and cinematic awareness to their movement. Featuring guest artists Abdiel & Kristine Bendul (stars of Brian’s upcoming dance documentary Follow Lead Love), this workshop includes collaborative choreography, acting exercises for camera, and a live on-camera filming segment.
Learn how to connect with the lens, perform in close-up, and create movement that moves people — all while supporting the completion of an independent dance film that celebrates love, artistry, and partnership.
