Scott Nicholson is a Choreographer/Creative Director/Dancer/Artist who has a diverse movement background with the passion and heart to match. He and his brother, Brian Nicholson, are currently Choreographers and Creative team members for Ariana Grande. Brian and Scott strive to be the most up to date and contemporary bridge between many art forms.

Artist Credits include Janet Jackson, Kelly Rowland, Daddy Yankee, Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey, and Jaicko, as well as Commercial Dancing credits including GLEE, Saturday Night Live, Playstation, ESPN, AT&T, Samsung, MYSUIT etc. He continues to gain industry knowledge performing and touring with shows and companies such as Ariana Grande’s The Honeymoon Tour, in which he and Brian choreographed and danced in. Others include Dana Foglia Dance, Michelle Dorrance Dance, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, and Monsters of Hip Hop (cast of 2010).
The duo has Choreographed for the top award shows in America and internationally such as The American Music Awards, Much Music Video Awards, The Billboard Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards, The European Music Awards, and many other notable award shows and performances. They were the Choreographers for Ariana Grande’s The Honeymoon World Tour, which took them to countries across the world such as Canada, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, Jakarta, England, France, Germany, and more.
Hailing from Ohio with a Bachelors Degree in Dance and Business from The University Of Akron, Scott prides himself in being well rounded and focus on artistry and versatility. Technically trained in areas such as Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Hip-Hop, Street Jazz, etc he teaches about the close relationships that each dance art form have to one another, while leading classes and rehearsals with an important structure that is both professional and rewarding to the product.
Brian and Scott's classes across the country have helped shape the curriculum of the studios and have received notoriety for their teaching skill and choreography. There are no boundaries or limits that can hold these two atists back, and they feel blessed to be able to share their passion and art. Scott is excited about the future and hopes to seize every opportunity that comes their way. They believe it is important to educate and motivate, leaving students and colleagues with skills that can help each person transcend their careers and personal lives.

This class accentuates and delivers information and movement gearing toward Commercial Dance,becoming a Commercial Dancer, Stage Performance. With fundamentals from Jazz and Technique styles, coupled with grooves and hiphop styles, a vast knowledge base for the body and for vocabulary is created. Strong emphasis is placed on PERFORMANCE, intention, and focus of energy. Dancers will learn how to move with LENGTH and LINES while presenting their body with poise and artistry through pictures and transitions. Many things talked about throughout class are the importance of a clear mind and confidence of each dancers artistry while learning and receiving information, as well as class etiquette, rehearsal etiquette, and the tips and knowledge of how to work with an artist. A strong structure is placed upon each dancer when coming into class. The support given to each dancer from the teachers, as well as the other students in class, helps create a great place to learn and have a community of dancers/students work toward a similar goal. Building a strong work ethic and working smarter as a dancer are just a few things that will be achieved during this class period.
