Trent Soyster is a New York-based performer, creative and theatrical educator whose work focuses on story-driven movement and collaboration. National Tours: Pretty Woman the Musical and Escape to Margaritaville. Regionally and creatively, Trent’s work has been seen at Pittsburgh CLO, The Rev, Slow Burn Theatre Co., Timber Lake Playhouse, New London Barn Playhouse, Midland Center for the Arts, Dixon Place, RWS Global Theme Parks, Leg Up On Life's "Night of Life" and Interlakes Theatre. Work has taken him to both U.S. coasts, Canada, and Croatia’s first-ever Youth Theatre Festival. Member of Actors’ Equity and associate member of Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. Class Descriptions
Class focuses on movement phrases and the experience of taking up space. Less story-driven and more feeling-based, Trent’s contemporary class exists to fuel and energize each dancer. With experience in education, performance, and choreography, you will leave class feeling accomplished and with a revitalized toolbox of contemporary movement. A full cardio, stretch and strengthening warm up will start the class followed by learning a sample of choreography.
Class focuses on movement through a variety of different jazz styles and techniques. Trent’s energetic and playful choreography focuses on both story and stage presence. A full cardio, stretch and strengthening warm up will start the class followed by learning choreography phrases.
Class focuses on story-driven movement based on both real and fictional scenarios/musical stories. Repertoire is pulled from existing musical theater pieces and new works that are exciting and character-forward. A full cardio, stretch and strengthening warm up will start the class followed by learning choreography phrases from many different theatrical pieces.
