Teacher Bio
Peter Schabel received his professional training from the Harkness School and the School of American Ballet. Peter performed with such companies as the Los Angeles Ballet, Bejart Ballet of the XXth Century and the Boston Repertory Ballet. He began his teaching career directing the school of the Evansville Dance Theatre.

Peter performed with such companies as the Los Angeles Ballet, Bejart Ballet of the XXth Century and the Boston Repertory Ballet. He began his teaching career directing the school of the Evansville Dance Theatre.
He has been teaching in New York since 1983. Mr. Schabel has been a guest teacher for Dance Masters of America, Professional Dance Teachers Association, the Dance Teachers Club of Boston and others. In 1992 Peter was the first guest teacher and coach brought in for the Broadway production of Cats.

A challenging class for adult students and dancers. Kinetic breakdown and bio-mechanical awareness is developed along with expanded classical vocabulary.
An introduction to the technique, terminology, and etiquette of class structure. Emphasis is placed on posture, placement and timing as students expand dance vocabulary. An ideal way for novice students to develop strength, flexibility, and focus; as well as dancers from other disciplines to add correct ballet technique usage.
Other areas of study include- How to use music, how to coordinate and combine steps and how to expand physical awareness and concentration.
