Teacher Bio
Michele Lynch is a NYC based choreographer and teacher. She choreographed Little Miss Sunshine, by James Lapine and Bill Finn, for Second Stage Theater. Also look for Michele's choreography in the Jason Robert Brown film, The Last Five Years.

As a teacher, Michele has taught master classes at NYU as well as regionally and around the world. She also taught Jazz at American Ballet Theater’s summer session. A few months ago when she taught at NYU, her students claimed her classes were like having Dance Therapy.
Broadway choreography credits include Everyday Rapture, (“Michele Lynch’s choreography is double edged, mixing showbiz slickness with the awkwardness of the terminally introspective.” - Ben Brantly, NY Times), The Coast of Utopia, Hairspray (Associate Choreographer), The Full Monty (Assistant Choreographer), Urinetown (Assistant Choreography). Other choreography credits include the National Tours of Little House on the Prairie and Happy Days the Musical; the films Joyful Noise and Camp; in opera, Showboat.
Michele's passion is choreographing new musicals and a few favorites are Idaho, Empire, Single Girls Guide, Go-Go Beach, and Breakfast at Tiffany's. She also choreographed Dolly Parton’s World Tour. As a performer Michele danced at the 62nd Academy Awards, many commercials and Industrials, on Broadway in Victor/Victoria, and was a Radio City Rockette.

Whatever level of dance you come in with - you will grow as an artist. Michele is known for inspiring students as well as building confidence in the student’s dance abilities.
Through creating a safe environment, the students can find focus and breath in the warm-up that is based in Modern and Ballet techniques. The class allows the students to build a strong dance foundation for themselves, thus creating freedom in their expression of movement.
Michele will teach a combination that will reach into the depths of storytelling and encourage artistic expression. This class will develop speed in picking up dance combinations as well as expanding the student’s dance vocabulary and artistic boundaries.
This theater dance class welcomes actors and singers.
