Lynette Johnson has been teaching fitness and dance for over 30 years. As a teacher, former Ballet dancer, and Musical Theatre performer, she feels quite at home at Broadway Dance Center. This all levels core stretch class is an upbeat, full body conditioning class that focuses on core strength!
This class will be based on an iyengar/ashtanga blend of yoga. This alignment based yoga class will focus on correct alignment by presenting postures in challenging ways.
While there is a flow to the class, students will also be encouraged to increase their flexibility, balance, and strength by holding and breathing into poses.
New students will develop a familiarity with basic yoga poses, while experienced yoga students are encouraged to explore more challenging poses. Everyone will be challenged, yet encouraged to practice at their own level.
This Upbeat Pilates based class is sure to work your body to the core! While the main focus is building core strength, the class will also increase strength, flexibility, and balance in the entire body. It is specifically designed to help dancers become their strongest self.
