Lorena Cobos (she/her), a Bronx native, studied dance at Hofstra University where she found her voice through movement. From there, she went on to pursue a career as a performing artist, educator and choreographer. Lorena Cobos (she/her), a Bronx native, studied dance at Hofstra University where she found her voice through movement. From there, she went on to pursue a career as a performing artist, educator and choreographer. Her movement quality is a reflection of training in various dance styles, such as: jazz, modern, contemporary, latin, hip-hop foundations and more. Lorena has worked closely with Rhapsody James, Lauren Cox, J9 Dance, Joanna Numata, Brice Mousset, and Greg Dolbashian to name a few. Professional credits include West Side Story film, BeautyCon, Milford Literary Festival, WiseFruit Series, and musical artists’ such as Camille Trust, Carishma, and Already Late. Lorena sees dance as a universal language that connects people from all parts of the world and all walks of life. As a leader, she strives to bring out joy and authenticity through vulnerability from each individual she gets to share space with.

Class Descriptions
Class usually begins with a cardio (grooves), mobility and technique filled warm-up. Followed by some movement exploration, floorwork exercises, and then a combination that was correlated to the warm up. I am a strong believer in mind muscle connection and like to prepare the body to facilitate the execution of movement given. Together the goal is to create a safe space for self-discovery, storytelling, movement exploration and a fun exchange of energy.
