Class Descriptions

Lauryn’s class begins with a center floor Jazz warm-up that is easy to follow and adjustable to all levels. Next, students will work acrosss the floor to practice technique and prepare for the choreography. Choreography will have an emphasis on acting and performance quality.

Dance for performers is a very successful class in London and is now being offered right here in NYC! The creators of the class, Danny Becker and Blythe Jandoo, wanted to provide a musical theatre training program for primarily actor/singers who feel they need help with their dance ability. They believe that the well-rounded most important ingredient is confidence and that you will make the most progress in a fun, simple, and judgement free class. The class will entail a warm up, stretches, corner work, center work and an audition-style routine. The routine will be different each week so that students' pick-up speed improves and they feel ready for any audition that comes their way.
