Class Descriptions

Justin designs his tap classes to meet the needs of all levels of dancers interested in furthering their technique, musicality and style. The class focuses on floor warm-ups, across-the-floor work, combinations and choreography including Theater Tap, Soft-Shoe, Rhythm Tap and more — all with a touch of Justin's style. Every student is recognized for their talents and receives as much individual attention as possible.

Justin's Theater Dance classes focus on a 45 minute warm-up including isolations, cardio exercises, floor stretch, abdominal exercises and more. After warm-up students, will move across the floor with choreography leading to a final combination in the styles of Broadway, Vaudeville and more to the soundtracks of musicals from the '20s to today.

Students will learn basic jazz steps and their meanings from the VERY beginning.  Through warm ups and across the floor exercises students will incorporate these steps into sequences, culminating into combinations of choreography that can videotaped and practiced at home. The workshop will explore all genres of theatre dance and discuss many of the great Broadway choreographers, past and present.
