Julia Sitch (she/her) is a performer, choreographer, and teacher from Honolulu, HI. Julia Sitch (she/her) is a performer, choreographer, and teacher from Honolulu, HI. She began her training in classical ballet at Hawaii Ballet Theatre before moving to New York City, where she earned a BA in Dance from The New School. She joined Kalamandir Dance Company in 2018 and has since performed in other projects with the company. Julia has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Jemma Lee, Hyerica, Brinda Guha, Stacie Webster, Ashley Lynne King, and Dokteuk Crew. She assisted CTP in 2019 and began exploring choreographing her own work during the pandemic, creating pieces that blend various styles and influences.
Julia has taught at local studios in her hometown and led workshops in South Korea and NYC. After living and training in South Korea for two years, she recently returned to NYC to pursue dance and choreography. She recently directed and choreographed her first dance film, Ghost Town, and hopes to continue creating her own work.
