Jesse Berry began his dance training at the age of three at Moschetta’s Performing Arts Center under the instruction of Barbara Moschetta and Jacqueline Moschetta-Warren in Fredericktown, PA. He studied multiple dance forms but over his many years of training, tap dance remained his true passion. He has continued to foster his love for the art form by not only performing but teaching, and loves sharing his passion for tap dance with younger students. In 2016, Jesse joined the professional tap dance company “Tapestry” in Austin, Texas where he spent the next 7 years as a principal dancer. Under the direction of Acia Gray, Jesse performed in many original Tapestry Dance Company shows including, “One Step at a Time”, “Of Mice and Music – A Jazz Tap Nutcracker”, “Listen”, “Just Tap”, “April Fools”, “Sound and Silence”, “The Souls of Our Feet”, and the tour of “Passing it Forward, the American Dream?”. As a soloist, Jesse has performed in multiple cities throughout the US and in 2018 he was invited to Qingdao, China where he and guitarist, Charles Rangel performed over 100 shows in just 36 days. On top of his performance career, Jesse has traveled both nationally and internationally teaching the art of tap dance with an emphasis on its relationship to music, where his works have received recognition on both the regional and national scale. He has worked for various conventions and workshops including Dance Masters of America, All Out Dance Competition, and Sole to Soul tap festival to name a few. Jesse hopes to inspire the next generation of tap dancers to explore their creativity, embrace the art form, and carry forward its rich legacy with passion and innovation.
