Heather is an energetic, enthusiastic teacher whose class focuses on developing strong jazz technique. Students are expected to have a basic knowledge of dance and a willingness to learn in a patient, low pressure environment. Her 45 minute warm-up concentrates on strength and flexibility which is used in her fast-paced and fun choreography. Heather was also an assistant to Frank Hatchett/ VOP Style.
Join Heather in this 8-week session where you will gain both knowledge and a fun experience learning the style of jazz dance. Beginning with a warmup, we then work on elements of jazz in center and go across the floor to implement the movement. Class will end with a combination which will be worked on week after week in a encouraging environment! Knowledge of movement, laughter, and sweat happen in equal measure!
