Cherice Barton is a creative director and choreographer based in Los Angeles, California. With a unique eye for transforming dance into inspired, emotional and visually stunning work for all mediums, from stage to screen, Cherice’s most recent work has included projects featuring Gwen Stephanie, Katy Perry, George Lucas, Julie Taymor and Printz Board. Cherice’s credits include The Grammys, America's Got Talent, Dragone Productions Le Reve & House of Dancing Water, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark on Broadway, Lucasfilm Animation, American Ballet Theater, Dance Camera West, BC Beat and the Juilliard School, among others. Ms Barton is thrilled to have recently choreographed a new ballet for Aspen Santa Fe Ballet with its premiere in Los Angeles at VPAC and NYC at the Joyce Theater in 2017.
In 2016 Cherice joined forces with her sister, Charissa Barton for the launch of their production company, Barton Movement; a company of world-class creative artists specializing in dance, movement and choreography. One of Barton Movements first major projects was the creation of Axis Connect, a bi-coastal educational platform for emerging professional dancers. Led by its founders, the Barton sisters, Axis Connect bridges the gap between the institution and professional dance industry by providing the experience, connections, skills and exposure necessary for career success not only in concert and commercial dance, but the entertainment industry as a whole.
Cherice Barton's performance career has spanned 20 years in over 30 countries across six continents. She devotes her heart to her beautiful daughters, beloved husband and the craziest but most inspiring parents and siblings a girl could ask for.

Calling all dancers who enjoy current contemporary dance styles! Cherice’s contemporary jazz class relies on a solid technical base and develops full body movement, quick coordination and emotional expression. Influenced by the numerous mentors and brilliant artists she has had the pleasure to work with over the years, Cherice’s class focuses on true expression and a deep understanding of what motivates us as dancers.
Dancers will be challenged both technically and artistically as they open their minds and bodies to a unique approach to creativity. Commencing with a “feel good” warm up uniquely designed to warm and prepare the muscles, dancers will join Cherice in a series of challenging and exhilarating coordination exercises before expressing themselves in original choreography.
