Brandon Cournay is a multi-hyphenate creative leader; originally from Walled Lake, MI, Brandon received his BFA from The Juilliard School. Brandon Cournay is a multi-hyphenate creative leader; originally from Walled Lake, MI, Brandon received his BFA from The Juilliard School. He was a longtime dancer with Mark Morris Dance Group and KEIGWIN + COMPANY and has performed with Radio City Christmas Spectacular, The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Morphoses, New York Theatre Ballet, Dance Heginbotham, and more. He has been an Associate Choreographer/Rehearsal Director for numerous creative projects in opera, theatre, TV, film, and dance.
As a lecturer, adjunct professor, and repetiteur, he has worked with The Juilliard School, The Pennsylvania Ballet, UNCSA,, Whim W’Him, Montclair State University, Marymount Manhattan College, Rutgers University, Barnard College, Cornish College, and more. He has guest-taught for scores of universities, dance studios, and conventions nationwide and is proud to be a certified teacher of Dance for PD®
His current roles include Founder/Executive Artistic Director of Dance Device Lab and General Manager and Producer of Dance Heginbotham. He is a founding Board Member of NSquared Dance, a national reviewer for YoungArts, and has been interviewed for multiple publications, including Dance Magazine.

Guided by musicality and anatomical alignment, Brandon's ballet classes enthusiastically get people moving. The class will start with an organized and dynamically paced barre, moving into center phrase work focusing on efficiency and clarity of movement. This class supports dancers from all backgrounds. Most importantly, this class will be fun!
