Selena Hepburn Children & Teens Bio

Selena Hepburn started dancing at the age of seven in Chesterfield, VA where she enjoyed training in a wide variety of styles, competing, and performing at local events. As a teen she danced as an apprentice to the jazz company Fusion in Richmond, VA, at the NFL Pro Bowl in Hawaii, and as a back-up dancer for Hip-Hop artists. She continued her training at Ohio University, Joy of Motion in D.C., and studios in NYC such as BDC.

Selena began her teaching career in 2002, and starting in 2005 she created and directed dance programs at Woodlake Aquatic & Fitness Center and Milby's Just Kids. Since relocating to NYC in 2008, she continues to perform professionally, teach, and set choreography along the East Coast. She is currently co-artistic director of the contemporary ballet company PPB in NYC.

In the classroom, Selena strives to create a nurturing environment that not only challenges the students to work toward technical excellence, but also encourages them to find and express their unique voice as an artist.
