Melodye Redding Children & Teens Bio

Melodye Redding was born in Heidelberg Germany, and grew up all over the world. One of the things that remained constant in her life was her love for the arts, especially dance! From her Arts Magnet High School and throughout college she danced and participated in many musicals. When asked by one of her young students if she had a job, she had to pause, think, realize and exclaim! "This is my job! " It was then that she discovering the joy of loving her work so much that it felt like play! Ever since she's enjoyed teaching children of all ages in multiple disciplines, ballet, tap, hip hop, cheer, gymnastics and more from Alabama to New York. She earned her degree in Elementary Education from Troy University where she choreographed for their show choir. Shortly after she continued her dance education at Broadway Dance Center as an intern and over the years has taught at various studios and camps.

In Melodye's classes she always aims to bring a passion for dance, knowledge of technique and love for people to her students. Encouraging creativity, fun, and growth in motor skills and self confidence, Melodye aims to enrich each students experience in an excellent and well-rounded way.
