Brendan’s Jazz class blends storytelling, musical theatre, and classic jazz foundations with a fresh, industry-aware edge. Expect movement focused on performance and presence rather than just steps.
Class begins with a 30-minute warm-up grounded in jazz technique, designed to build strength, athleticism, and artistry. This is followed by dynamic across-the-floor progressions that challenge coordination, musicality, and confidence.
Combination work draws from the legacy of jazz dance pioneers while remaining rooted in today’s performance world - theatrical, expressive, and technically clear. You will be encouraged to find your own voice through choreography, receiving constructive, outcome-driven corrections and individual attention. The music ranges from throwback grooves to contemporary MT tracks, reflecting the versatility required of modern performers. We're talking about finding yourself somewhere on the spectrum from old Broadway to Girls Aloud to Fred Again...
This is a space to train seriously, take risks, and refine your craft. Come ready to sweat, perform, and leave sharper than you arrived.
