Sarah Marie Picard (formerly known as Sarah Brinson) is a dancer, choreographer, and artistic director whose career bridges stage,
screen, and education. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, her professional career began with FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance and ABC’s Once Upon a Time. She has performed internationally with leading dance companies, at renowned venues such as The Joyce Theater and Peridance, and in works by choreographers including Mark Morris, Brian Friedman, Tyce Diorio, Larry Keigwin, and Stacey Tookey.
She is the founder of Acting For Dancers, a workshop series blending acting technique, contemporary movement, and mindfulness, and the Artistic Director of SMP Dance Company, creating repertory and collaborative works that center story and emotional access.
Sarah brings to Broadway Dance Center a teaching practice rooted in authenticity, presence, and emotional intelligence—inviting dancers to explore not only what movement looks like, but what it feels like.
