Amy Gardner is the artistic director of annoDAM Dance, and the founder of A CLASS ACT Intensives. Currently based in New York City, Amy collaborates and creates work in a myriad of forms, as a choreographer/movement director, as well as a dancer/actor.

Amy's work as a choreographer and versatile dancer have enabled her to work in a wide array of projects throughout North America and Europe. Some of her credits include So You Think You Can Dance (Top 10), Justin Bieber, The X Factor, Madonna, Coca Cola, Point Point, Mirror Mirror, Cirque Du Soleil, Moment Factory, Disney, The Olympics and more.

As a choreographer, Amy's work has been featured on film and television, on the red carpet, in music videos and short films, on the Youth American Grand Prix stage and on large scale multi-media productions such as cruise ships and corporate events. She teaches internationally and is a freelance choreographer for studios across North America.

Relentless in her pursuit to grow as an artist, Amy is also a certified Pilates Instructor, and has been training as an actor in Montreal and New York for over 3 years. Amy is looking to push boundaries artistically, and to continue collaborating with artists internationally in order to explore the endless possibilities of creating movement to tell stories.

Class Descriptions

Amy teaches a unique contemporary class, consisting of a thorough physical and mental warm up, improvisation techniques and phrases of movement. Amy Gardner’s choreography is unpredictable and is constantly evolving. Her movement is strongly routed in contemporary dance, however, urban influences are definitely incorporated. Her focus as a teacher is to not only challenge her students with intricate and complex movement, but to bring awareness to the importance of storytelling. She tends to utilize acting techniques in her work as well.
