Born and raised in New York City but currently residing in Los Angeles, Kai Lin is a dancer/choreographer of many different dance genres. Born and raised in New York City but currently residing in Los Angeles, Kai Lin is a dancer/choreographer of many different dance genres. He started his training at a local studio and also joined his community as a street dancer/performer. He continued to study ballet, modern, and choreography at the prestigious La Guardia High School (also known as the F.A.M.E school) as a dancer major as well as competing in street dance competitions with two dance crews. After graduating, he started his career while continuing to train in NYC and many in different street dance competitions and jams. This allowed him to be more proficient in contemporary, hip-hop, House, Lite Feet, improvisation, and choreography. After touring with Odyssey Dance Theatre, dancing for Prince Royce and Daddy Yankee, Kai signed with Clear Talent Group and moved to Los Angeles to continue his career. Some of his credits include Janet Jackson, JLO, Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Normani, Nicki Minaj, Pharrell , SYTYCD UKRAINE finalist and more. He teaches contemporary, hip-hop, and improvisation at Millennium Dance Complex and Movement Lifestyle as well as teaching/mentoring students around the country. While continuing his career, Kai plans to use all of his opportunities to create many new works, train and educate the next generation of dancers for years to come and sharing dance with the world

Class Descriptions

Class with Kai Lin will focus on finding a balance of hip-hop foundation and choreography. Using hip-hop along with other forms of street dance, we will use the warm up to focus on key elements to help students learn their bodies, find different rhythm patterns, and find their individual flavor in dance. The warmup will prep students for the routine, which will train retention of choreography and many key elements to performing. Using his experience on stage and knowledge in many different dance forms, Kai’s class will be geared towardsfostering an environment to elevate their dance. Whether you’re a professional, advanced dancer, or you just love dance, this is the class to take if you’re looking for a place to push your artistry and your dance to the next level!
