Marina Del Elmo, a former Vaganova Ballet Artist was born in Venezuela. Marina was inspired and motivated to start her ballet lessons by her artistic family from Europe half Russian and Italian. Her first steps started at Taormina Guevara Ballet Academy the city of Barquisimeto. Later on she moved to the capitol, Caracas were she continued her ballet lessons with Lidija Franklyn in Ballet Arte. While in Caracas she auditioned at the Ballet Keyla Ermecheo were she got a scholarship and graduated as a ballerina and she finished Ballet Sovietico Workshop with Russian masters of Bolshoi Theater Eric Volodin and Maya Samokhvalova.
Marina performed for Ballet Juvenil and was a ballet dancer founder of Ballet Metropolitano de Caracas. After intensive training, she won a scholarship to the GITIS State Institute of Theatrical Arts in Moscow Russia to continue her profession as a ballet dancer and instructor were she obtained a pedagogue-choreographer Ballet Master Certificate. Marina was trained with recognized ballet stars from Bolshoi Theater as a Raisa Struchkova, Marina Kondratyeva, Yaroslav Sekh, Tamara Varlamova, Larissa Trembovelskaya and also with Henry Danton a former dancer of Royal Ballet of London and with a prima ballerina Inna Zubkovskaya and Vladimir Lopukhov of Mariinsky Theater, St. Petersburg Russia.
Marina performed as a corps de ballet and soloist in Venezuela at Ballet Metropolitano de Caracas, Ballet Juvenil School of Teatro Teresa Carreno, Ballet Fundacion Arte Nuevo, taught in Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico and exams/judge in Vaganova Dance Society, Edmonton Canada. Here in US she teaches and choreographed at Broadway Dance Center, Staten Island Ballet, New Jersey School of Ballet , Jersey City Dance Academy, American Dance Center and Renaissance Dance Ensemble, just a name a few.
