Her choreographic credits span stage, screen, and commercial projects, including Migrations for Welsh National Opera, Tiger Bay the Musical at the Wales Millennium Centre, and campaigns for Fabletics, Selfridges, Fila, and Pinko. On screen, she has choreographed for So You Think You Can Dance UK and music videos for The Corrs and Jike Junji. She has also served as movement coach for Florence and the Machine.
As founder and artistic director of Sol Dans Company, supported by Arts Council England, Melody creates powerful contemporary works that explore emotion, connection, and narrative. Through Sol Dans Youth, she mentors emerging artists, nurturing creative freedom, individuality, and professional artistry.
Before focusing on choreography, Melody performed in music videos for James Blunt and Madonna, and appeared in the feature film Mrs. Henderson Presents with Judi Dench. These experiences continue to shape her understanding of performance, camera presence, and authentic storytelling through movement.
A passionate educator and international adjudicator, Melody teaches and leads residencies around the world, inspiring dancers to move beyond technique and into expressive truth. Her jazz classes emphasize musicality, storytelling, and dynamic contrast, encouraging dancers to find power, vulnerability, and individuality in every phrase.
Whether in the studio or on stage, Melody’s teaching celebrates freedom, boldness, and the transformative energy of movement, inviting dancers to connect deeply to music, emotion, and intention.
