Class Descriptions
Joshua’s class starts out with a choreographed warm up with emphasis on strength and technique. Combining aspects of Jazz, Ballet, Modern and Body Conditioning into a 25 min. actual “warm” up, not just stretch. Then moving to across the floor which is meant to feel more like a dance and less an across the floor, already working on syncopation and quality of movement. Lastly the combination; more then likely a mix of Ballet, Jazz, Hip-Hop and pedestrian movements is geared towards musicality and the ability to use technique then release it and use natural gestures. Above all it is a welcoming, fun atmosphere, because we do not learn nor put ourselves out there if we are intimidated or stressed.
AI reduces your workload by removing tightness so you can swing your limbs more freely. It transports oxygen to sore muscles and quickly removes toxins from muscles, so recovery is faster. AI works as a deep massage technique because it activates muscle fibers during stretching. The class starts with unlocking the hip and trunk area, the feet, ankles and calves and then we move to the upper body. This class is for any level of dancer or athlete, as well as anyone recovering from injuries or interested in preventing injuries.
