Nora Moutrane (she/her) is a triple threat in every sense. As a performer, regional favorites include Man of La Mancha (Gypsy Dancer, Antonia), 42nd Street (Ensemble), and Jersey Boys (Boyfriend’s Back Soloist). She toured the country in the title role of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, King for a Day. Film/tv/music video credits include dancing for the pop group Xelle and starring in the independent film “The Case Files.” She has also been a part of various new works, most notably playing Ghazala in Musical Theatre Factory’s reading of 5th Republic. As a choreographer, Nora recently got to honor the Jack Cole style in Hampton Theatre Company’s production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way To The Forum. She holds a Bachelors in Theatre from Northwestern University.
As a personal trainer, yoga instructor, and nutrition coach, she adores holistic wellness practices and loves to share them with fellow movement artists. She believes yoga and mindfulness practices are key to longevity in any career, but particularly creative ones. These tools help clear the system and prepare it for inspiration, joy, and magic.
In 2019, Nora developed her trademarked MTYoga classes™ for the musical theater artist and loves to bring this workshop experience to different theatre companies and schools all over the country. This format fosters an interest in wellness, while keeping it fun! These classes have been described as “the epitome of self-love!” and “equal parts soothing and invigorating.” She hopes to continue to inspire and collaborate with artists to create a more sustainable and positive industry.

All Levels Vinyasa Yoga is a flow class that helps to sync breath to movement to better open up the body for meditation. This is the traditional purpose of yoga and in current culture, we add some extra strength and stretch to the equation. Class is structured similarly, with changing elements of focus every week, such a chakras and parts of the body. Yoga helps us to find better body awareness, stability and groundedness, and connection to breath, so that we as dancers can practice our art in a more sustainable way, as well as become more present in all parts of our lives!
