Rachel Gary Children & Teens Bio

Rachel Gary is a New York City based director/choreographer, performer, and educator. She earned a BFA in Dance with a concentration in ballet from Webster University. Most recently, she has worked as the co-director/choreographer on Michigan Stage’s production of Guys and Dolls. Rachel received the Traube Fellowship from the SDC Foundation where she worked with director/choreographer Jerry Mitchell on Pretty Woman: The Musical. She has presented work in New York Theatre Barn’s Choreography Lab, Dance Lab NY’s Broadway Choreography Intensive, and the Astoria Dance Festival. Some favorite choreography credits include Rachael Lily Rosenbloom… (54 Below), Idle Hands and Racing Hearts (world premiere), HONK!, The Pajama Game (Webster Conservatory), Jesus Christ Superstar (Young Artists Ensemble). Rachel has assisted some incredible choreographers on productions such as Pirates of Penzance and Broadway Bounty Hunter at Barrington Stage Company, and Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, and Peter Pan at Variety Theatre.
