Kristen Greto has been dancing for 25+ years and began her training in tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop at City Center Dance in White Plains, NY. She was also a member of the Tap City Youth Ensemble through the American Tap Dance Foundation for several years. Kristen Greto has been dancing for 25+ years and began her training in tap, jazz, ballet and hip-hop at City Center Dance in White Plains, NY. She was also a member of the Tap City Youth Ensemble through the American Tap Dance Foundation for several years. Her extensive training allowed her to perform all over Westchester County and New York City. Some of these venues included Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, and Lincoln Center. She graduated from St. John’s University with a BS in Communication Arts. Shortly after, she received her MBA with a concentration in Executive Management.

While completing her undergraduate degree, she was a proud member of the St. John’s University Dance Team and served as captain during her junior and senior years. During her senior year, Kristen helped bring home the team’s first championship win at Varsity’s Universal Dance Association (UDA) college Nationals in the D1 Hip-hop category. Simultaneously and after college, Kristen danced with the Inaugural Westchester Knicks Dancers for three seasons and served as captain for two. Kristen recently completed her sixth season with the NBA Brooklynettes and first as a Co-Captain. She has traveled overseas with the Nets performing in China and Mexico and has danced with many artists during Nets half time shows including Lil Kim and Busta Rymes. Outside of the Nets, Kristen has been featured in DanceSpirit Magazine, assisted with Cyndi Lauper’s Home for the Holidays show at the Beacon Theater and has danced for national audiences on the Rachael Ray Show and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Kristen also does lots of freelance teaching and choreographing as well as coaches the Long Island University Division 1 National Champion Dance Team. She loves passing down her knowledge and experiences to younger, aspiring dancers.

Class Descriptions

A deep dive and crash course into auditioning for dance teams including, but not limited to Pro (NBA/ NFL), and/or College levels. This class focuses on proper warmup/dance conditioning, technical across the floor combinations, freestyle, group work, and fast paced/athletic routines. With Kristen’s background and knowledge with a total of 13 seasons of dance team for St. John’s, Westchester Knicks G-League, and NBA Brooklynettes, she pushes you to help build your confidence on and off the stage/court/field, and makes sure you are ready for what it takes to book the job!
