Misty Lown

Misty Lown is an internationally recognized dance educator, speaker, and entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the dance industry. She is the owner of Misty’s Dance Unlimited, founder of More Than Just Great Dancing®, and President of Schools at Ensemble Schools, overseeing 80 music and dance schools across the country. Her work has helped shape the landscape of dance education, inspiring both students and studio owners to excellence in the performing arts and business.

Misty’s passion for teaching extends beyond the classroom. She has trained thousands of dancers, instilling not just technical skill but also artistry, confidence, and a deep love for the art. Her approach to dance education emphasizes strong technique, emotional connection, and personal growth, making her classes both challenging and inspiring. She has also developed professional training programs for dance teachers, helping them refine their craft and build meaningful careers.

As a speaker and mentor, Misty has shared her expertise at major industry conferences including the Studio Owner University, Dance Teacher Web, Dance Teacher Summit, Dance Revolution, Toronto Dance Teacher Expo, DanceLife Teacher Conference, Australian Teachers of Dance, Victorian Dance Festival (AU), Hollywood Dance Connection, REVEL, The Pulse Teacher's Workshop, KAR Competition Dance Teachers Summit, Dance Educators Collective, Revolution Energize, and Weissman Showcase.  Her leadership in dance education has been recognized with numerous awards and articles, and her contributions to the industry continue to influence the next generation of dancers and studio owners. Most recently delivered a training program for 240 students at the CLI Conservatory in South Hampton, MA about entering the career of teaching dance.
