Jonny’s class has two aspects of emphasis: learning (or relearning) the reasons “why” we love to dance as well as using foundational hip hop movement to connect to music and choreography.
Class will start with a Head to Toe warmup which will include stretching and cardio. The class will follow up with “Call & Response” in which Jonny will perform a variety of Hip Hop grooves. Depending on the choreography and theme of class for the day, we will learn about distinct creators, contributors, origins and the history of particular movement that will be taught in class.
Above all, Jonny wants to make sure the students are feeling comfortable to express themselves, and are learning something new in the process!
