She was raised in Dallas, Texas, where she started dancing, singing and acting at a very young age. She went to Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, and later went on to graduate from Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a Dance Emphasis.
She recently finished traveling the world performing as Velma in the International Tour of West Side Story. She has also been seen around the country performing in A Chorus Line, Cats, Newsies, Saturday Night Fever, Singin’ in the Rain, Cinderella, and many other shows.
Alongside performing and choreographing, Victoria is the co-owner of a production company, VMProductions (@vmprofilms), which keeps her busy editing reels, creating websites, and working on artistic film projects.
Victoria is just THRILLED to be teaching at Broadway Dance Center, and she can’t wait to continue sharing her love for dance with the community. Her classes are full of love, laughter, and encouragement. She always aims to challenge her students in a safe space where artistic growth is accessible and exciting. Class Descriptions
Victoria’s dance class is a fun, silly, fast-paced environment filled with lots of laughter and encouragement! She does her best to cultivate a space where everybody feels welcome, seen, and safe.
Classes will typically be split into three sections. First, a warm-up including meditation, stretching, and strengthening. Then, an across-the-floor combination focused on traveling and taking up space. And finally, a longer combination to train the skill of quickly picking up choreography, preparing dancers for auditions and rehearsals alike! Her choreography is strongly rooted in musicality and storytelling. Each week, students can expect a different style than the class prior, as there is so much variety within theatre dance!
Dancers should always feel free to come as they are; whether their goal is to challenge themselves, take it easy while getting back into dance, or just to make some new friends!
