Kristin’s class is anchored in a moving from one’s center-- dropping into the body and communicating from a space of clarity, presence and connection. Her warm-up—a blend of technique, energetic releases, moving meditation—primes the body and mind for the physical challenge of the choreography and establishes the foundation for a conversation between music and movement. The shading and dynamism in the physicality of her choreography works to promote an acute awareness to time, space and the others sharing the space. She draws the intent for her phrase-work directly from the music as well as a devotion and love of the inherent transformational power of story-telling. Her classroom-- an environment of curiosity in which artistic risks and deliberate stylistic choices are encouraged.

Kristin serves as the Artistic Director of Kristin Sudeikis Dance and Founder/Creative Director of FORWARD__Space.

She continues to teach around the globe as well as choreograph and direct movement for tv, music videos, film, tech, stage, live activations and more. "Dance, in its truest form, is pure freedom. "

Class Descriptions

Kristin’s class is centered on the principle of moving from one’s center, dropping into the body and communicating from a place of honesty. Her warm-up—a blend of technique, yoga, and meditation—primes the body and mind for the physical challenge of her choreography and establishes the foundation for a conversation between the music, movement, and ‘audience’. The shading and dynamism in the physicality of her work promotes an awareness of both movement and the absence of movement, pushing her students to consider the literal and metaphorical power of silence. Kristin draws the intent of her phrase-work directly from the tone of the music, resulting in a sublime, and all-encompassing experience for the dancer. Her classroom is an environment of open experimentation, in which artistic risks and deliberate stylistic choices are encouraged.
