Darrin Dewitt Henson is an American choreographer, author, dancer, actor, director, and producer. Darrin Dewitt Henson is an American choreographer, author, dancer, actor, director, and producer. Darrin is also a NAACP Image award Nominated Actor and a Nominated Author. Henson can now be seen on BET in the hit series, Carl Weber’s The Family Business where he plays Orlando Duncan which he received the 2021 Best Actor Award for his role. The series is now set to film its 5th season in early 2024. He is also simultaneously working another season on the hit series Double Cross which is featured on the ALLBLK network where he is both a producer and principal actor (Detective Ryan).
Darrin has completed over 30 films in the last 15 years. He is primarily known for his hit roles in films such as Stomp the Yard (Grant), The Express (Jim Brown), Black Coffee (Robert), Tekken (Raven) and Netflix’s Black Bear (Cowboy). In 2020, Henson was Nominated for the coveted international AMAA AWARD in Africa for his role in a South African film, Zulu Wedding.
Henson is most notably recognized for his choreography with artists (to name a few) such as Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Jackson, Prince, and was the recipient of the MTV award for his choreography on NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye". His story has continued to evolve and most recently his documentary Darrin's Dance Grooves hit number one within the first week of airing on the ALLBLK television network and Prime.
With all of his accomplishments, Darrin is passionate about giving back to the community and has been asked to speak at several companies, social events and also listed as the keynote speaker for many college graduations. Darrin is currently working on his 5th book which is set to release in late 2024.
