She went on to perform works by Theresa Stone, Hayden J. Frederick, and Nijawwon Matthews across NYC as a member of BDC’s performance company. After high school, Amanda continued her studies at Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University, where she deepened her training in contemporary, African diasporic forms, classical techniques, and somatic practices. She later trained at The CLI Conservatory in Southampton, MA under the direction of Teddy Forance, working with world-class choreographers such as Brian Nicholson, Kenichi Kasamatsu, and Candace Brown.
