Tom Richardson (he/him) is a highly respected and sought after choreographer and instructor based in New York City. Tom began his training as a dancer, singer and actor; a well-rounded triple threat and began working professionally at a young age. Tom appeared in the US national tour of Broadway’s SWING! (swing/lead vocal understudy), TraumNovela in the European Premiere in Spain (Ecco), Falco, a new multimedia musical in Vienna, Austria based on the late 80's pop star, West Side Story, Joseph and the amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Gypsy, and Cinderella to name a few.
Tom has danced for Kym Mazelle, as well as Joop Perfume, Mission Australia, and Coca Cola. Over the past three years, Tom's choreography has been repeatedly invited to perform at D.RA. Dancin' Downtown at the Joyce Theater NYC. His choreography credits include pieces for Dance: In It For Life (Off-Broadway), NDA/NCA Varsity Collegiate national championship, Midnight on Broadway for CCL, La Companyia XII International (Spain) The Winged Ones (Creative Team- Australia), TraumNovela an adaption of Stanley Kubrick's novel Eyes wide shut (Associate Choreographer, Spain).
Tom was assistant choreographer to Shelly Masenior for So You Think You Can Dance - Ukraine, additionally helping her set pieces in NYC. Tom has taught master classes at dance companies, professional dance studios, competition studios, conventions and set choreography all over the world including the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe and Asia. He is on currently on faculty with Intrigue Dance Intensive, Shine Dance (Canada) and has judged for multiple dance competitions in the US, Canada and Australia. He is guest faculty at Urban Dance Centre in Sydney, Australia.
Tom has received multiple awards for his choreography at many National and international competitions and is known for inspiring and challenging dancers, not just to be a well-trained dancer but to be a creative artist and true performer.
