About
Broadway Dance Center’s 2023 Summer Training Program offers three genre-specific sessions throughout the summer in New York City.
Each 2-week session provides a nurturing atmosphere of concentrated study for advanced dancers ages 18+. Train with our diverse faculty in multiple styles of dance technique.
- Session 1 (June 12-25 ): MUSICAL THEATER
- Session 2 (July 3-16): CONTEMPORARY/JAZZ
- Session 3 (July 24-Aug. 6): STREET STYLES

Program Details
The Summer Training Program is a chance for advanced dancers to immerse themselves in BDC's legendary training in the heart of New York City. Each session features:
- Orientation and welcome to BDC; Dancers can work with staff to curate their weekly schedule
- 12 classes weekly from our drop-in schedule
- Daily closed master classes
- Two weekly rehearsals with faculty choreographer
- Concept video shoot with classmates
- Mock audition/industry Q & A
- Edited professional video of your concept piece
- Full-time staff to guide dancers' studies
- Scholarship opportunities each session for future BDC program: Professional Semester
- Certificate upon successful completion of the program
How to Apply

Please read the following application instructions thoroughly and submit all application materials with care. Applications are considered based on dance training and professionalism.
- Completed Application Form
- Dance résumé and headshot or dance photo (email to BDCWorkshops@bwydance.com).
- Two minute YouTube or Vimeo URL. Please begin the video by speaking directly to the camera, stating your name, where you're from, and why you want to join the Summer Training Program at Broadway Dance Center. The first minute of the video should demonstrate your ability in the style of the session in which you are registering (Theater, Contemporary OR Commercial Street Styles). The second minute of the video can be in any style you wish. The second minute should display your personal style (This will be submitted in your online application form)

Tuition & Payment
$1,450 for each 2-week summer training program session
- Includes all classes, seminars, master classes, performance opportunities, rehearsals, and mentoring sessions assigned to that session
- If you choose to take additional classes beyond your mandatory 15 per week, you may do so at a reduced class rate.
Take all three sessions and save $150! ($4,200 total for all three)
1. BDC will notify you of your acceptance by email.
2. Upon acceptance, full tuition is due. You will be sent a link to pay online. We accept credit cards (Visa, Master Card, Discover, or Amex)
3. Once your tuition has been received, BDC will issue your official acceptance packet.
A refund can be requested up to 30 days prior to the start of the session less a 10% admin fee; no refunds will be given within 30 days of the start of the session. The application fee is non-refundable. No refunds given for any absences during the session.
