The Broadway Experience is an international musical theater program designed to create and inspire triple threat performers. Students undergo an intense, disciplined study of dance, voice, and acting with current Broadway professionals and incredible master teachers. Students become stronger, versatile, and more dynamic performers, preparing themselves for a professional career at the highest level.

PROGRAM & LEVELS

The NYC Summer Intensive offers two weeks of over 60 classes, workshops, and lectures in dance, voice, and acting. Week two shifts the focus to stage performance taking students through an intense rehearsal process leading up to a major performing opportunity.

*Both age and experience will be taken into consideration regarding placement.

LEVEL ONE: Advanced beginner for ages 11-14 
LEVEL TWO: Intermediate/advanced for ages 15-18 
PRO LEVEL: This advanced/professional intensive is for college age students and emerging young professionals who want to continue their triple threat training whilst making valuable connections for their future.

Participants receive:

  • Daily dance technique classes
  • Master classes in various Broadway dance styles, covering repertoire from the golden age of musical theater up to present day choreography
  • Dance and Song classes
  • Voice/choral work
  • Song Interpretation class
  • Acting technique classes
  • Monologue work and scene study
  • Improvisation technique class
  • Triple threat training
  • Choreography workshop
  • In-depth musical workshop
  • Lecture demonstrations on aspects of the business, practical and non-practical including wellness/nutrition and injury prevention
  • Industry specialists networking opportunities
  • Audition readiness training
  • Mock-audition with panel of industry specialists.
  • Visit to Broadway show(s) with Q&A with cast following performances
  • Major performance opportunity at the end of week two

$1200 for L1 or L2 one-week program (includes catered lunch and one Broadway show) 
$1350 for Pro Level one-week program (includes individual professional reel, catered lunch, and one Broadway show) 
$2200 for L1, L2, or Pro Level two-week program (includes catered lunch and two Broadway shows)
